"English Language Challenges"

I learned English in basic school and secondary school, but since I graduated I haven’t practiced very much. I see a lot of TV where I can read the subtitles of movies and series; also y listen a lot of music in English so I can learn more about the pronunciation; but is the only thing that I have been doing so far.
I really enjoy learning English at the university; however I don’t have much time to learn it properly. For the future, I recommend more hours during the week: three days a week of two blocks per day, of 45 minutes per block. In my experience, having more time to study this foreign language is very helpful to improve our skills. You have to think that some people are not interest in learn English so, what I’m trying to say is that more hours would really help us to learn it more efficiently.
Also in class is very helpful talk (in English, of course) interesting topics, for example: a few days ago we talked about the topic “moms on facebook”. I really enjoyed talking and writing about this because I have many funny histories to tell to my classmates; and the hour… the hour pass so quickly that you don’t believe that is the end of class.
Out of class, I only use English to finish my homework; I read some paper or important publications about my career, among other things. Also I use my English skills to sing the music that I like, but quietly so that way, people don’t see me like a freak; is so embarrassing when that happen! Sometimes I help my nephew with the translations of some difficult works; he is also learning about this language. It is amazing that some schools impart the education of this language for kids.

"My future job"

Some teachers told us that been an engineer means that we are able to solve problems. I´m not very good resolving any kinds of problems, God knows that I have a few of my own that I have to take care. I really hope find a job (related to forestry, obviously) doing things outside an office: working with soil, measuring trees; especially I want a job outside of Santiago. It’s too crawly in here and the air  is toxic! I miss breathe clean air and the blue sky.
If a planned to take a major after I graduate? Well, I think about it. I really enjoyed my classes of geology so, if it’s possible, I want a title in this area, is very entertaining working with soli and getting dirt in the process.
I´m not looking for a high position in a big industry because is so stressful! Manage every situation that appear and solve it; definitely is not the kind of job that I want. Although I want a big salary so I think that I have to tolerate any situation to get enough money to buy whatever I want and need. Also I have to pay my students loans, damn you banks! Why is everything related to money?! We need free education now!
To get any job you must have the necessary skills that the job requires: you have to be responsible, be punctual and you have to be PROACTIVE. If you don’t have anything to do at work, find something that keeps you busy. If you boss finds out that you have been lazy at work it will be the end for you, my friend; you will become an unemployed.
